Introduction

This case study describes the role of SOA Technologies in the large-scale implementation of Unit 4 Business World ERP for Cheshire County Council. Agilisys hired SOA Technologies as a BizTalk Consultant/Architect to provide technical leadership and expertise on the middleware implementation.

Project Overview

The project involved the implementation of Unit 4 Business World ERP for Cheshire County Council using BizTalk 2016 as the integration layer. SOA Technologies played a crucial role in providing technical governance over the middleware estate and designing and developing complex integrations for HR & Finance.

Technical Support

SOA Technologies also provided technical support for the end client during test cycles on positive/negative testing and created high-level and low-level technical designs of interfaces. This support was critical to the success of the project.

Technologies Used

The technologies used for this project included C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web Services (REST/SOAP), WCF Services, JSON, Jenkins, MS Build, Visual Studio Team Services, GIT, PowerShell, Visual Studio, SQL Server, SQL, CSS3, and HTML5. These technologies were used by SOA Technologies to design and develop complex integrations.
